Job Description

Electrogas is a rapidly expanding Safety Equipment company which specializes in Gas detection and Safety supplies.

Two opportunities have arisen at our Red Deer branch for a Full Time Accounts Receivable clerk and Accounts Payable clerk. We are looking for mature individuals with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a high paced environment. These individuals will work within our Accounting team to support our other departments.

Accounts Receivable Duties

  • - Reconcile payment processing transactions (i.e. Moneris, Visa, MasterCards, Interac)
  • - Daily invoicing to customers for all departments
  • - Review Aged AR reports
  • - Email monthly customer statements
  • - Collection of past due invoices
  • - Manage outstanding internal sales/service/rental orders to get to invoicing process
  • - Assist with follow up and paperwork corrections
  • - Manage customer list
  • - Process and approve customer credit applications
  • - Monthly Bank reconciliation
  • - Process customer payments on account
  • - Perform journal entries for account adjustments

Accounts Payable Duties

  • - Process vendor invoices daily
  • - Reconciling purchase orders to vendor invoices
  • - Review and follow up vendor invoice disputes
  • - Reconcile vendor statements monthly to internal records
  • - Maintain record keeping and filing
  • - Reconcile corporate credit cards monthly
  • - Process personal expense reports
  • - Manage and reconcile fuel cards
  • - General navigation of ERP system
  • - Submit manufacturer warranty claims
  • - Organizing travel and accommodation plans
  • - Book and record employee training
  • - Setup of Supplier accounts
  • - Assist with Accounts Receivable department

Qualifications

  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Well organized
  • Detail orientated
  • 2-3 years of direct accounting experience considered an asset
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong sense of team work
  • Excellent ability to determine solutions to issues

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $3,600.00-$4,000.00 per month
