Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate junior to mid level Aerospace Engineer to join our team. As a recent graduate with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, you will play a crucial role in researching, designing, and implementing solutions that optimize gas turbine thermodynamics, machinery, electrical systems, and propulsion systems for commercial aircraft.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of gas turbine thermodynamics, machinery, electrical systems, and propulsion systems for commercial aircraft, with a focus on large, short-haul aircraft.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate technology integration opportunities that lead to significant emission reductions and improved efficiency in air transport operations.

- Develop conceptual designs and engineering models for innovative solutions that address the environmental impact of air transport.

- Perform simulations, calculations, and optimization studies to evaluate the performance and feasibility of proposed solutions.

- Collaborate with external partners, including aircraft manufacturers, technology providers, and regulatory bodies, to stay updated on the latest advancements and industry trends.

- Stay current with industry regulations and standards related to emissions reduction and sustainable aviation practices.

- Support the development and testing of prototypes, including overseeing the installation, integration, and evaluation of new technologies.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate research findings and project progress.

Requirements/Qualifications:

- A bachelor's or master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of gas turbine thermodynamics, machinery, electrical systems, and propulsion systems for commercial aircraft.

- Solid theoretical background in gas turbine engines, thermodynamics, and propulsion systems.- Proficiency in engineering software and tools for simulation, modeling, and analysis (Ansys tools).

- Passion for sustainability and a keen interest in finding innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of air transport.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop practical solutions.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to conduct complex calculations and simulations.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in interdisciplinary teams.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in work.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
