Southern Aero Aviation is currently seeking a Ramp Attendant for 35-40 hours per week. The position is for our 4 on 4 off AM shift (10 hour shift starting at 4 am). Flights are ramping back up and we're excited to get back to regular business!

We are also excited that the federal vaccine mandate has been lifted for airports so we can now hire unvaccinated staff again.

Summary:

This is a customer service/technical position that is responsible for supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews and passengers. It requires the following: good decision-making skills, the ability to follow company procedures; flexibility in a dynamic working environment; as well as possess good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Marshall aircraft and ensure aircraft are chocked and secured
• Load/unload baggage
• Operate ground support equipment
• Deice Aircraft
• Other duties and tasks as required

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives
• Ability to work without direct management supervision
• Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including holidays, mornings, nights, and weekends as scheduled
• Able to provide a criminal record check and driver's abstract (doesn't need to be flawless)

Physical Requirements:

• Lift baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75lbs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
