Business Development Manager ---Energy & Utility Procurement

The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of the industry and the understanding of the utility market to identify price trends and future availability of different types of energy. The role will be responsible for supporting the company’s new development activities, also consists of locating vendors, negotiating prices with suppliers, preparing and managing tenders, maintaining relationships and managing records.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • · Development of appropriate relationships with key partners.
  • · Engage and gain alignment from key collaborators in developing and then implementing categories strategy.
  • · Work closely with energy consultants, real estate brokers/developers, and other market participants; Help to formulate investment recommendations
  • · Manage the budgeting process and forecasting energy usage, monitoring energy source markets to develop procurement strategies to reduce overall energy usage and cost.
  • · Sourcing and underwriting new acquisition opportunities and management of deal pipeline through diligent pursuit of target locations and properties.
  • · Evaluating and negotiating with vendors for the most suitable and cost-effective products and services.
  • · Identify, originate, secure, and support structuring and negotiations of power procurement contracts;
  • · Execute and manage the procurement of deregulated energy contracts in North America.
  • · Prepares permit plans and works with local officials to obtain permits
  • · Analyze and track energy-related savings initiatives in North America.
  • · Develop strategic direction and roadmap to define the future state of procurement.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • · Major in Real Estate, Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience;
  • · Experienced in energy procurement/real estate/Sales is a plus.
  • · Excellent Business Communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated negotiation skills in creating win/win scenarios.
  • · Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • · Exercises a high level of professionalism and a positive demeanor.
  • · High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time
Contract length: 12 months
