Position Summary: This position will enable health-care system alignment by leading the coordinated planning and integration of patient-centered health services to ensure consistent high-quality patient care as defined by Manitoba’s Clinical and Preventive Services Plan. Change Leads will influence health service providers within the Service Delivery Organization (SDO) to implement care pathways that effectively serve Manitoba’s population.

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.


Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field such as Health Sciences or Health Administration from an accredited education institute.
  • A postgraduate degree is an asset
  • Certificate in quality management and/or patient safety from an accredited institution
  • An equivalent
  • Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate
  • 7 years of progressive experience implementing clinical health services changes, involving health services leadership
  • 7 years of experience providing health services to urban, rural and/or remote populations across one or more areas of clinical health care
  • 3 years of experience leading and coordinating systemic improvements with health services
  • 3 years of experience applying formal tools and methodologies in organization change management and project management
  • Demonstrated comprehensive senior leadership capabilities.
  • Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
  • Good work and attendance record

Conditions of Employment:

  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern HealthSanté Sud policy.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
