Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Location: Durham and Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time/Contract

Agile Healthcare Solutions, a leading staffing agency in the healthcare industry, is currently seeking a Child and Youth Worker to join our team in Durham and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Ontario. The Child and Youth Worker will work with children and youth in a variety of settings to provide support and assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with children and youth to develop and implement individual care plans based on their needs and goals
  • Provide support and assistance to children and youth in areas such as emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving
  • Foster positive relationships with children and youth and their families, as well as with other members of the care team
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and other related activities as required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and activities

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and youth in a residential or community setting
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Medical with 6 months validity
  • UMAB (Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behavior) current certified
  • Immunization record
  • Vulnerable Sector Check Valid
  • 3 References from Direct Supervisor
