Community Life Coordinator
Do you have an affinity for facilitating authentic, welcoming spaces? Do you naturally engage youth and children and like to build intergenerational community? Do you like transforming vision into reality? We seek someone who resonates with our values and practices and who would like to collaborate with us to implement our vision.
Position Details.
The position of Community Life Coordinator is 20 hours per week with a salary range: $22-$25 per hour.

Areas for Leadership and Vision
- Create opportunities for engagement that reflect our four core images, with a particular focus on children and youth that fit the current needs of the community.
- Provide ongoing assessment and re-design of kids groups.
- Be an advocate for children and youth within our church life.
- Meet with pastor and administrator for ongoing collaboration
- Attend Leadership Team meetings as needed.
- Help generate and post content for social media.
Implementation of Vision
These tasks are open to dialogue and may shift as needs change or our community changes.
Structured per our four core images:
Well
Collaborate with pastor in crafting intergenerational ALL IN services (approx 5 per year).
Provide oversight for Sunday morning kids groups.
Participate in elements of “up front” Sunday leadership (prayers, liturgy, etc.)
Draw kids/youth into serving and leading during Sunday gatherings.
Table
Plan four (4) intergenerational activities a year (hikes, Christmas skating party, overnight camping, summer BBQ at the beach, etc.)
Collaborate with pastor on annual church retreat (summer/winter).
Build relationships with youth and families.
Collaborate with pastor on any additional intergenerational events.
Seed
Craft midweek programs for youth which provide them a safe space to deepen their relationships to God, one another, and the world.
Care for one’s spiritual growth and wellbeing,
Discern and respond to the Spirit’s presence in our community.
Net
Seeking ways of engaging our kids/youth in service/mission.
Plan two (2) ALL OUT intergenerational Sundays around creation care/service.
Plan an annual intergenerational service project. (ie: Gleaners Society, Oliver).
