Researcher and Content Writer – HKJ Marketing

We are seeking an experienced and driven Researcher and Content Writer with a strong background in research and copywriting to join our dynamic, fully remote team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and accurate deep-dive research on various topics across multiple industries to develop high-quality and insightful content.
- Write engaging, well-structured, and informative articles, blog posts, and other types of content.
- Collaborate with teammates to carry out content strategies and ensure adherence to company guidelines and quality standards.
- Utilize various research tools and methods to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for content creation and optimization.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal knowledge databases.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry developments, trends, and best practices in content creation, research methodologies, and copywriting.
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on content performance and strategy improvements.
- Optimize title tags, headings, meta descriptions, and more in line with SEO best practices to boost web traffic.
- Continually focus on enhancement, growth, and new strategies to improve clients’ content.
Requirements:
- Superior knowledge of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and more.
- 2+ years of post-secondary education in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- 3+ years of content creation, research, or journalism experience.
- 2+ years of copywriting experience.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to gather information from a wide variety of sources and transform it into clear and concise content.
- Familiarity with research, editing, and content management tools commonly used in the content creation industry.
- A proven ability to work effectively with a team as well as independently in a goal- oriented, fast-paced environment.
- A strong sense of personal responsibility and dedication to creating high-quality work.
- A portfolio of previous writing that demonstrates your skill level.
- The ability to embrace wins and view losses as chances to learn and develop further.
- Exhibit a strong sense of drive and determination, taking the initiative to drive success whenever possible.
- Ability to break down complex topics into easy-to-read content.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in a health or medical-based field.
- Background in journalism or research roles.
- Ability to think strategically and maintain a big-picture perspective.
- Strong Excel abilities.
- A strong understanding of basic HTML coding.
- Experience with social media marketing.
- Experience conducting outreach to publishers and organizations.
- An understanding of search engine optimization fundamentals, along with the role that content plays in SEO.
