Job Description
OEB Breakfast is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions of the company. You will work closely with the senior management team to provide financial guidance and ensure that the company is operating within budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide senior management with accurate and timely information for decision-making purposes.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing budget management support to department heads.
- Manage the company's cash flow and ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the company's financial obligations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and internal controls.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of the Company’s annual audit.
- Maintain compliance with government agencies.
- Assist with the preparation of the Company’s external consolidated financial statements in accordance with ASPE (US GAAP for US operations).
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure the management information systems provide useful and meaningful information on which operating and strategic decisions can be made.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls, reports, and policies to comply with regulations and development of best practices.
- Assist in the development and refinement of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and cash management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Salary: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
