Job Summary:

The cost accountant is responsible for supporting the project management function. We're looking for someone who can provide high-quality work while working efficiently. This position will report to the Controller and be embedded within the project management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, and maintain multiple project cost budgets with various working interest in BC, AB, SK
  • Liaison between project management and finance
  • Prepare budget variance analysis
  • Maintain the monthly project cost report
  • Review vendor invoices for validity and coding

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience with NetSuite is an asset
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
