Job Description – Okanagan Delivery Operator (Term Position - 6 mos., may be extended)

Summary:

In this delivery operator position, Employee will be responsible for delivering storage units to clients, maintaining delivery truck, operating forklift and helping in other areas of the business as needed. This is a Class i or Class III driver position - with airbrakes. Hours are full-time for six months and will vary based on work volume. The successful candidate MUST have a minimum of three years of driving experience in BC.

Employee will divide time between:

• Deliveries:
  • Delivering storage units to clients in a timely, professional manner
  • Conducting delivery site surveys in advance of difficult deliveries
    
• Delivery Truck Maintenance:
  • Maintaining truck to ensure it continually meets all safety standards
  • Ensuring truck receives professional maintenance when required
  • Keeping all truck records and checklists up to date on ongoing basis
  • Keeping all driver records and checklists up to date on ongoing basis
    
• Helping Yard Manager with Maintenance of Storage Units
  • Cleaning storage units (pressure-washing, scrubbing, sweeping, etc)
  • Painting storage units as needed
  • Applying decals to sales and rental storage units
  • Maintaining storage yard in Calgary
    
• Miscellaneous:
  • Operating forklift in storage yard to load, unload, and move containers
  • Helping with miscellaneous tasks in the yard and office as required

Employee may also be required to perform a number of additional duties at the request of Secure-Rite, which contribute to the overall goals of Secure-Rite.
