Reports To: Landscape Project Manager

Job Type: Full-time/part-time

The Opportunity

OnGrowing Works (OGW) is looking for a reliable, hard working Part-time Delivery Driver/Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, equipment and materials to and from job sites in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements & Qualifications:

· 5+ years experience of experience in vehicle and equipment operation

· Equipment operator experience (5000+ hours on excavator, mini-excavator, skid steer, and backhoe)preferred

· Vehicle/trailer operator experience (5000+ hours in dump truck [1 ton or higher], truck and trailer [16’], and picker truck)

. High school diploma or equivalent

. Valid Class 5 drivers license with air endorsement and clean driving record

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Reliable and punctual

· Ability to lift and move heavy objects

· Ability to read and follow directions accurately

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities Include:

· Operate delivery vehicles, such as box trucks, flatbeds and other specialized vehicles, to safely transport goods, equipment and materials to and from job sites

. Communicate with project managers and other personnel regarding delivery information

· Load and unload cargo in an efficient and safe manner

· Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

· Maintain accurate delivery logs and records

· Follow all safety protocols and regulations

· Follow all applicable laws and regulations while driving

. Ability to read underground utility locates and ensure safe digging practices are always being adhered to

· Operate equipment such as skid steers and excavators in a safe and efficient manner, as needed

· Assist in yard maintenance and operations, as needed

· Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cochrane, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Driving and equipment operation: 5 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2023-05-08
