Title: Delivery Route Driver {DRD}
Reports To: Manager
Territory: Ottawa
Status: Agency Employee
Shift Schedule: Flex -Scheduling Available (6-10 hours working day)

PURPOSE:
The delivery driver duties is to manage timelines for delivery and service, as well as to maintain accurate inventory management and establish expectations around ongoing communication with key stakeholders at each customer location.

Oversee delivering 15-30 stops per day throughout the Ottawa region, thus should have a flexible working schedule to accomplish the task methodically with corresponding physical capabilities.

The Delivery Driver position is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, and delivering goods that may weigh up to 40 lbs. Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. The driver is expected to maintain vehicle hygiene and help other drivers as requested by the manager.

Additional job duties include carrying out vehicle pre and post examinations and diligently recording the vehicle's daily mileage and gas usage. The delivery associate should exhibit all duties by following safe driving habits. You’ll be on the move during your shift as you deliver goods from the delivery vehicle to the customers doorstep.

Pay: Compensation will be salaried based. You have the potential to earn between $175-200 per day with time incentive raises for drivers with the opportunity to earn more based on performance

Ideal hire’s roles/responsibilities:

  • Perform a number of customer deliveries/rotate inventory/merchandising support
  • Sort, load/unloading of items delivered to clients/warehouse.
  • Complete pre and post-trip inspections of company vehicles and safely operate equipment
  • Maintain company assets and property (facilities, vehicles, tools, and equipment)
  • Daily submission and completion of all required documentation in an accurate fashion, to be submitted promptly to Business Manager
  • Provide exceptional customer service during each and every customer interaction
  • Handle inquiries or concerns from customers in a professional manner and redirects where possible

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional customer service and attention to detail
Time management and organizational skills
Must possess a valid Ontario G-class driver’s license and
No accidents and maximum 3 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
Delivery experience will serve as an asset
Proactively manage the customer’s perception of and level of satisfaction with our service.

WORKPLACE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
Able to effectively maneuver in highly congested traffic areas
Proficient using a smartphone device
Flexible schedule would be preferred
