Position: Digital Marketing Strategist
Reports to: Marketing Manager, Integrated Marketing
Position Term: Full Time Permanent

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Integrated Marketing, the Digital Marketing Strategist is a subject matter expert in all aspects of digital marketing (acquisition/growth marketing, technical skills, A/B testing, UX and UI) and leverages that multi-disciplinary expertise as needed to drive the overall digital enabled strategy for their assigned supporter segment.
As our Digital Marketing Strategist, you will guide the adoption of Digital practices and technologies to meet supporter needs and implement digital first practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Digital Testing
- In collaboration with the Product Owner, feed into the product roadmap to surface digital tests that deliver on strategic goals and increase supporter value.
- Standardize the testing process amongst the Agile team, and champion for that process across key stakeholders.
- With the Agile team, design and execute digital tests focused on clear hypotheses for the supporter segment.
- Deliver test learnings to the Agile team and stakeholders with recommendations on how to implement learnings into evergreen activities.
- Plan and execute A/B testing, split testing, iterations, and other test and learn tactics to constantly improve how World Vision Canada resonates with the assigned supporter segment.
- Be well versed on the current landscape and emerging trends in consumer behaviour, the charitable sector, international development, technology, and new business models.
Acquisition/Growth Marketing
- Feed into the Master Marketing Brief (co-authored by the Product Owner) to ensure it accurately represents the Segment needs while clearly providing objectives, timelines, and measures of success that line up with strategic goals.
- In partnership with the Campaigns team, manage Evergreen digital acquisition tactics/plans to ensure success and achievement of segment revenue targets.
- Actively seek ways to grow overall acquisition of assigned supporter segment in digital channels, including but not limited to: SEO/SEM, PR/Influencer Marketing, Paid Social Media, Organic Social Media, and Content Marketing.
- Influence improvements to UX & UI using behavioural psychology and leveraging learning from Digital Testing.
- Proactively stay current on market trends, supporter segment behaviour, and competitive activity.
- Drive efficient lead generation and high conversion to achieve optimal CPA.
- Uncover the key insight(s) with the SEAT, Advanced Analytics teams, CoEs (as necessary) that form the foundation of the marketing initiatives and the campaign.
Qualifications:
- University or college undergraduate degree in Marketing or a related field.
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience, especially within digital media and operations.
- Extensive experience with end-to-end marketing, including brand & content marketing, creative development, marketing planning, data & analytics.
- Experience with a range of media-related platforms is an asset, including: Ad Servers, DSPs, DMPs, DCO, Ad Verification, Ad Exchanges, Ad Networks, Sharing/Social tools
- Strong understanding of the marketing research process and advertising campaign development.
- Strong experience building A/B tests & conversion rate optimization.
- Digital Marketing planning experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of development process and project management is an asset.
- Agile mindset along with experience working in any of Scrum / Scaled Scrum / Scaled Agile Framework SAFe.
- Energetic team player with proven skills in leading, planning and executing in a cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated ability of effectively working in dynamic (constantly evolving) results-driven environments with competing stakeholder requirements and delivery timelines.
- Demonstrated high level of personal ownership, collaborative teamwork, holistic value-centric perspective, work adaptability, and innovation.

- Preference for a working knowledge of web, eCommerce, CRM, mobile, social, digital technologies.
