Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Materiel Services and within the Vision, Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Seven Oaks General Hospital, the DISPATCH AIDE is responsible for the distribution of medical & surgical supplies, general supplies and equipment throughout facility and affiliated agencies.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years experience in distribution and/or warehousing, Preferable in a health care setting.

  • Good knowledge of Supply Chain Management Software (SAP) is preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade XII education.
  • Valid certificate to operate motorized warehouse equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated communication skills.

  • Detail oriented with an ability to organize and adjust to variable workloads.
  • Ability to prioritise assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be in good physical condition to meet the demands of position.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
