Capital Management's Project Centre of Expertise and Provincial Programs is seeking two full time draftspeople to join an existing dynamic drafting team. As this is a provincial portfolio, the candidates can choose either Edmonton Seventh Street Plaza location or the Calgary Southport Tower location. In addition to the drafting component, this team prepares and maintains the building information in a bespoke database for the full fleet of Alberta Health Services owned and leased buildings equaling approximately 1340 building totaling around 5 million square metres and works with many departments within Alberta Health Services as well as external consultants and agencies. Seldom will require overtime or travel. This posting maybe used to fill multiple vacancies. There is flexibility as to the location of this position is within the Calgary Zone. At the time of appointment the successful candidate may discuss location options with the hiring manager.
As a Draftsperson, you will prepare and update detailed and complex drawings of hospitals and facilities including mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural systems. You will ensure all drafts are up-to-date and catalogued in accordance with AHS standards and policies.
Completion of two-year post-secondary education in Engineering Design and Drafting.
Additional Required Qualifications:Candidate should hold, as a minimum, a Technologist Diploma in either Architectural, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines and be proficient in AutoCAD 2022 and Microsoft Office Suite. Candidate is required to have solid verbal and written communications skills. Knowledge of REVIT is beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications:Technologist Diploma; AutoCAD 2022 and MS Office Suite proficient, solid verbal and written communications skills, knowledge of healthcare facilities and REVIT an asset.
Valid Class 7 or 5 License required, with clean drivers abstract preferred. Previous shipping/stock person/warehouse experience is an asset.
