You:

• Technical diploma required
• One-year design experience would be considered an asset
• Strong understanding and experience with programs like Autodesk, Vendor, AutoCAD, and Intuitive
• Fluent on Microsoft Office and able to work on other programs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and effectively meet deadlines
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• LEAN manufacturing experience is preferred
• Be able to handle items weighing in excess of 50 pounds
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate production goals
• Ability to communicate effectively with others

Duties & Responsibilities:

Working under the direction of the Head of Engineering, you will

• Design 3D models of cargo trailers
• Create drawing packages for the production floor
• Have a holistic understanding of the product, and how changes to parts impact upstream and downstream product lines
• Put together build materials
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
• Propose solutions and engineering change requests to the product management head coach
• for approval
• Make changes to technical drafts based on the recommendations of the project engineers
• Communicate running changes back to team captains and assistant coaches and oversee
• implementation of coordinated changes
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
• Identify problems and communicate to Head of Engineering; be involved in the solution
• Complete daily 5S requirements.
• Actively participate in STC’s safety program
• Verify work completion with Head of Engineering
• Other Ad Hoc duties as assigned by Head of Engineering

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• LETHBRIDGE, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
• drafting: 1 year (preferred)
