Spanish Montessori Learning Centre is seeking a candidate to join our team of Child Care Professionals and work in a quality, community-driven, and accredited program. We provide care for children 1 - 6 years old. We are looking for a passionate, fun, loving, dedicated, creative, enthusiastic and exceptional candidate. Who is looking to create a great environment experience with the children as well as team members.
Our program mainly focuses on the Montessori Methodology while incorporating the Spanish language. It is not a requirement for candidates to have Montessori training or to know Spanish, however, it is an asset. We provide Montessori training to anyone that is interested in learning.
We are currently seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator to join our Educator team.
Duties:
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- Provide opportunities that express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning and behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health and well-being of children.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch.
- Maintain daycare equipment and assist with housekeeping.
- Attend staff meetings
- Establish and maintain collaborative and professional relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations.
Employment Requirements:
- Alberta level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certification (or higher).
- Criminal Record Check
- Standard First Aid and CPR
- Intervention Record Check

Rate of pay is based on the level of education and experience. The rate of pay is hourly plus the wage top-up funding according to the level of education.
