The School – Barrhead Composite High School
Located approximately 120 km northwest of Edmonton, Barrhead Composite High School (BCHS), is a grade 7-12 school.

The Position
The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in providing support and encouragement to students with a diversity of learning needs. Hours of work will be Monday-Thursday following the school calendar. Duties are to commence May 18, 2023 and will end June 28, 2023.

Qualifications

• Experience working with behaviorally challenged and non-verbal students would be an asset
• Ability to set clear boundaries, communicate effectively and efficiently and work independently
• Ability to work in a flexible learning environment
• Ability to establish positive relationships to support students in grades 7-12
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
• Must demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the school team, taking direction from the classroom teacher, special education lead teacher, and consultants
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
• SIVA training would be an asset
• First aid would be an asset
