Manager, Finance, Associate Support


Overview

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Finance, Associate Support the Manager, Finance, Associate Support will be responsible for supporting the team with reviewing changeover packages, optional equity, audit request, year-end settlements and managing direct reports.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review associate changeover files prepared by Sr. Analyst for approval.
  • Responsible for managing Optional Equity performance reporting, inclusive of store reports and consolidated senior management reports (along with enhancing existing reports and analytics to mitigate future issues).
  • Work with Operations and Legal teams to ensure that the appropriate letters are issued to deficient Owners, monitor subsequent activities, and escalate issues as required (and that internal control process is followed).
  • Work with Cash (EBS) team to authorize/approve cash buffer changes to allow owners to withdraw funds (personal investments, personal assets, shareholder/dividend advances, draw/admin expenses) once partial sweep process has been established.
  • Provide support for CRA audits and tax filings. Coordinate with other teams for supporting documentation as required by Auditor.
  • Provide support for annually Associates’ year end settlement for stores & delivery of financial results that will support the preparation of tax packages with the external accountants.
  • Review balance sheet account analysis, including reconciliations and variance analysis to prior periods’ balances.
  • Assist in selected projects assigned by management to improve processes and ensure smooth flow of information and continuity. Proactively identify the need for new reports/analysis to better support the current business activities and any new initiatives.
  • Investigate and respond to store queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Other duties, ad hoc requests and projects as assigned by the Sr. Manager.

What You’ll Need:

  • University degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Currently enrolled in an accounting designation program would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience for finance, accounting, and business experience.
  • Efficient, fast learner, ability to work under pressure, team player, autonomous.
  • Advanced skills in Excel; knowledge of Power BI, Macro/Python is considered an asset.
  • SAP knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Ability to manage, manipulate and analyze data to identify and quantify business opportunities/risks.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate and share information while striving in a fast-paced, high-performance culture.
  • Self-starter: demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
