POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Transactions team, you will work closely with the Internal Group Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting for the North American Bus and Coach business unit of NFI Group, ensure timely submission of month-end, quarter -end and year – end results. You will also support the Internal Group Accounting leadership in the development and implementation of standardized Group accounting policies and processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Perform recurring monthly tasks and journal entries to assist Internal Group Accounting team in financial close.
  • Work closely with Accounting Reporting Team Supervisor and Group Accounting Manager to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Support and interact with various functional groups within Finance and Operations.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assist in process standardization and system implementation projects.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Prior experience in a finance/accounting function.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Very good communication skill.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skill and ability to work within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office with above average Excel skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Experience with Oracle is an asset.
