If you are looking for work as a Financial Analyst, Robert Half is seeking skilled candidates. Financial Analyst candidates will be interested in this position, where they will have the opportunity to become key business partners in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. Your duties would include conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you're a good fit for this position. Advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management will also be part of this position. This Financial Analyst role is a short-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity in the Winnipeg, Manitoba, area.
Key responsibilities
- Own monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
- Contribute to weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
- Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
- Facilitate effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
- Discover the root causes of internal and external facts that are influencing performance and outcomes
- Work next to cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
- Ideal candidate would have an adaptable nature and experience dealing with vast amounts of information while exceeding expectations
- Produce and monitor forecasting reports
- Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process
- Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
- Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively
- Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
- Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
- Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
- Background in financial analysis and planning
- Financial analysis experience
- Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience desired
- Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
- Strong communication and social skills
