What you'll do

The Financial Reporting Student for CT REIT will be responsible for the transition of Investor Relation Deck from an Excel/PowerPoint format to Workiva, a cloud-based solution. In addition, you will assist in converting files to pull financial data from Yardi, ERP. Prepare a reporting package for Legal to assist with their Annual Information Form. Participate in a variety ad hoc projects as required. Reporting to the Manager, REIT Financial Reporting, you will work closely with the CT REIT Property Accounting, Strategy, Planning & Analytics, and Legal teams to accomplish the following:

  • Assist with the transition of Investor Relation Deck from an Ex cel/P owerPoint format to Workiva, a cloud-based solution.

  • Prepare a reporting package for Legal to assist with their Annual Information Form.
  • Participate in a variety ad hoc projects as required

What you'll bring

  • You're working towards a post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a relevant discipline
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards and practices under the International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general ledger accounting systems
  • Working knowledge of Yardi, Workiva, PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management considered an asset
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in real estate is considered an asset
