About Us

Responsibilities
  • Daily fund administration. Settle/allocate/reconcile daily trades and cash positions.
  • Customer service. Maintain client information and relationships. Prepare/edit client and marketing communications. Support client subscriptions and redemptions.
  • Regulatory and compliance. Prepare and file various regulatory filings. Support regulatory compliance including working capital calculations and AML certifications.
  • Monthly fund valuation. Prepare draft fund valuations and approve final versions.
  • Treasury management and accounts payable. Prepare or check cash-flow projections for the Company and its funds. Compile, process and maintain accounts payable records.
  • Financial reporting and audit. Prepare financial statements. Manage annual fund and corporate audits.
  • Tax preparation and planning. Prepare or check taxable income calculations for the Company and its funds. Complete various tax forms as it relates to income taxes, and other taxes as appropriate for the Company and its funds.
  • Service provider communications. Communicate with service providers including prime brokers, brokers, fund administrator, auditors and legal counsel as required.
Education
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma
  • Canadian Securities Course or Chartered Financial Analyst (good extra)
Qualifications
  • Solid accounting knowledge
  • Recent graduates welcome to apply
  • Provide unofficial academic transcripts (UPLOAD WHEN APPLYING)
  • Provide aptitude test results: SAT, GRE, MCAT, GMAT, LSAT or similar (UPLOAD WHEN APPLYING)
Skills
  • Problem solving skills. Logical and analytical.
  • Excellent communication skills written and oral
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficient in QuickBooks (good extra)
  • Proficient in VBA and/or Python and/or Java (good extra)
  • Social media and/or website development skills (good extra)
Compensation
  • Salary range 45,000 - $75,000 + potential performance bonus
  • Initial base salary depends on experience and program/major
