General Manager Position

Pangman Co-op is looking for a General Manager to oversee the Grocery Store and Agro Center.

Community Background:

Pangman is a small town of 235 people that is largely based in the agricultural sector. We have the small town appeal with affordable housing, K-12 school, a daycare, nursing home, community library, restaurant and of course our Co-op grocery store and fuel station.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the GM has overall strategic financial and operational responsibilities for the Co-op including the leadership and development of the leadership team. Using effective interpersonal competencies and managerial strategies, the GM will work with the board of directors to oversee the management of the cooperative and develop goals and objectives in alignment with the strategic plan.

Primary Responsibilities:

-overseeing ordering of inventory

-constructing yearly budgets

-Staff scheduling

-overseeing staff

-maintaining member relations

-monthly reporting to the board of directors

-adapting to ever changing inventory needs of members

-overseeing sales in bulk fuel, livestock supplies, agricultural goods and parts, lumber and groceries

Management experience within the Co-op retail industry and a class 3A license would be an asset but not required. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications with
