A Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Mgt company that is well-known for its pleasant work environment and culture is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join their team! The company has partnered with Robert Half and is looking for a self-starter to grow with them, handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This long-term contract / temporary HR Assistant position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the Niagara Falls, Ontario area.
What you get to do every day
- Maintain employee database documents
- Explore the internet to locate potential customers
- Perform various administrative duties
- Partake in planning new employee orientation meetings
- Have prior experience in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
- Approachable and appropriate demeanor when interacting with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing environment
- Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) Administration
- Administrative Assistance experience
- Knowledge of HR Department
