Industrial Painter (Temporary to Permanent)

About Our Client

Our client is a manufacturing plant of metal components for so many things we use daily – tractors, cars, machines, forklifts etc. They are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow in the warehouse in the position of Industrial Painter using machines, spray guns, hand tools and more.

What You Will Be Doing, as an Industrial Painter:

• Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings
• Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat
• Select appropriate paint or mix paints
• Prepare and apply stencils, decals or other decorative items on finished products
• Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications
• Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers or other devices
• Operate and control: electroplating equipment to coat metal, hot-dip metal plating equipment to galvanize metal and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts
• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Clean work area

What You Should Have, as an Industrial Painter:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar environment is preferred
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position including regular lifting and carrying of 5-23 kgs
• Must be double vaccinated

In Return, You Will Receive:

• $20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
• Lots of overtime available
• Paid weekly, every Friday.
• Opportunity for permanent hire
• 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
• Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

The Shift You Will Be Working is:

• Day Shift
• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am to 2:30pm

Where You Will Be Working, as an Industrial Painter:

• Royal Windsor Drive and Winston Churchill Blvd (Oakville)
• May be bus accessible
