THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the Platform Services Sub-Department, you will be part of the team responsible for preparing and maintaining reliable cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure. As the Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation and migration of on-premise infrastructure to cloud services and platforms. This role unlocks many possibilities for innovation and industry-leading designs that will further enable the growth, reliability, and performance of our IT infrastructure. The Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer will be a critical contributor to our technology foundation, ensuring our infrastructure is secure, reliable, scalable, and optimized for our business needs. THE ROLE
As the Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Partner with stakeholders and vendors to analyze, design, build, and operate infrastructure platforms to support the delivery of applications and solutions.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure through auto-provisioning and scaling mechanisms.
- Provide foundational platforms that enable the Technology team to deliver solutions, including developer tools, reliability engineering, automation/orchestration, and observability and monitoring.
- Provide exceptional level 2 and 3 solution support for the IT team.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer has:
- Proven skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in:
- Cloud platform design and administration (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Automated deployment and scaling mechanisms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible)
- Systems Management and Monitoring (e.g., SolarWinds, Sumo Logic, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Backup and Recovery (e.g., Commvault, Metallic IO, Veeam, Rubrik)
- A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Aritzia ‘s Values, Business and People Leadership principles.
- The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes.
- The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team.
