Location(s): Toronto, Hybrid

Our internship program is your chance kick start your career into the world of FinTech. This isn't your average job shadow or filling paperwork internship. You will use the latest technology, partner with business leaders, and work on meaningful projects that will impact Canadian businesses.

Internship Start: Monday, May 15, 2023

Internship End: Friday, April 26, 2024

To be eligible for our internship opportunities you must be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary school and legally entitled to work full-time.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Reviewing and understanding business requirements, functional and technical specifications.

  • Developing, maintaining and updating functional, integration, performance and regression test plans.

  • Utilizing various system utilities, networking, and verification tools to diagnose and enhance system performance.

  • Ensuring all code is written, tested and integrated with the rest of the project code base and version control system.

  • Designing new modules, enhancing and maintaining existing code.

  • Helping with troubleshooting operational data issues.

  • Researching industry trends and best practices, and recommending which approaches will benefit the company.

  • Gathering merchant facing product requirements.

  • Writing programs of limited complexity following detailed specifications.

  • Suggesting enhancements to software where applicable.

  • Participating in the development of user manuals where applicable.

  • Participate in technical design discussions, demos, and daily stand ups

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Software Development, Engineering or Computer Science.

  • Java, Javascript, Spring Boot, React experience

  • Project experience in developing software in a team environment.

  • Experience developing websites/web applications of any complexity for project, professional or personal use.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows/MS Office Applications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task and work towards meeting pre-defined timelines, delivering quality work.
