The Role: IT Support (8 Week Contract)
Trellis Society is seeking an IT Support to join our team this summer through the Canada Summer Jobs program. This 8-week contract position will involve working 35 hours per week and providing quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist with Facilities projects as required, including audits and data validation projects
- Assist with digitization of facilities records, scanning and uploading hard copy records to SharePoint files
- Assist with facilities safety related documentation and fire warden programs
- Provide basic onsite and field technical support as required, including supporting use of meeting room audio/visual equipment
- Deploy workstations and laptops and workstation accessories such as monitors, cables, etc.
- Assist with recycling and hardware gathering initiatives from various site locations
What You’ll Bring to The Role:
- Computer Science or Information Technology education and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn database systems
- Concise and clear communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search and Child Intervention Record Check Experience or in-depth understanding of Harm reduction and Trauma Informed Practice is considered an asset
This position directly reports to the Director of Facilities and Asset Management
