Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day data entry of vendor invoices.
  • Matching invoices with PO’s and delivery slips and get approvals.
  • Reconciliation of monthly statements from Vendors.
  • Managing weekly cheque runs.
  • Process all day-to-day accounting entries, including Visa and Bank reconciliations.
  • Process AR - Sales order invoicing and credit memo processing.
  • Process and review accounts payable for accuracy.
  • Process foreign exchange transactions.
  • Reconcile inventory management system with accounting system monthly.
  • Assist in COGS calculations.
  • Prepare month-end inventory, finished goods, and COGS adjusting entries.
  • Maintain prepaid, fixed assets, and other month-end schedules.
  • Amortization of assets, amortization of pre-paid expenses.
  • Investigate issues and reconcile accounts.
  • Other tasks assigned by senior accountant time to time.
  • Ad hoc system implementations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma, bachelor’s degree and/or enrolled in the CPA program.
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in implementing/working on NetSuite or ERP software.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Office 365
  • Proven prioritization, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, and accountability.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure proper completion of paperwork, forms, and comprehensive records.
  • Self-starter demonstrating initiative and autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, punctual, diligent, versatile, and methodical
  • Excellent communication with staff across all departments
  • Flexible schedule as some long days may be needed.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: $20.00-$24.87 per hour
