About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Patient Access and Flow, The Patient Transfer Liaison is responsible for the coordination of obtaining beds and arranging ambulance transportation to other health care facilities and for patients going home from the QEII. Close cooperation with EHS, nursing units, physicians, social work and receiving facilities is vital. A close working relationship with the Administrative Flow Managers is key to supporting Patient Flow.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:


  • Grade XII plus graduation from a recognized office administration/business/secretarial program from an accredited institution
  • One year related clerical experience
  • Demonstrated computer and typing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Carries out activities in a timely manner
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

Permanent, Full Time Position; 70 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$20.25 - $22.50 hourly
