Job Description

A big company in Dorval is hiring now a Machine Technician.

Night shift : 8PM to 4 AM

Machine Technician will perform various installations, set-ups, repairs, adjustments and troubleshooting practices on all equipment to ensure the readiness of all equipment. Ensure all maintenance and Facilities activities are conducted to achieve the high standards of the company's business policies.

Maintain all such equipment at a high level of performance and reliability while maintaining data integrity and targeted throughput for each piece of equipment. Work to support operators and other personnel in all departments to ensure all equipment utilized in the processes operate at optimum levels consistent with production requirements and in accordance with the Company's Global standards.

Responsibilities

· Install machinery and equipment and electro/mechanical components using hand tools, electrical testing instruments, and soldering irons as per electrical schematic and/or basic wiring diagrams

· Ensure that all equipment meets business requirements including audits, OH&S and security requirements in compliance with all company, local and provincial/federal guidelines

· Ensure machinery readiness and uptime is maintained at the expected standard through established Maintenance programs

· Use the CMM Software to enter Maintenance work orders and maintain spare parts stocks

· Assist in planning and creating Equipment and Facilities maintenance activities

· Perform Preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and Facility

· Maintain spare part levels to avoid any downtime related to missing parts

· Ensure compliance with all production requirements are met in accordance with SLA and product specifications

· Perform Facility related tasks and keep the workplace at the company's standards

· Install software and hardware upgrades in a timely manner to ensure functionality and ease of operation, consistent with the appropriate security measures and in conjunction with the Information Technology Team (ITT)

· Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all vendors, contractors and fellow employees

· Assist in the monitoring of work being performed by outside Agents/Contractors/Technicians and ensure compliance with the company's standards and expectations

· Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience:

· 2-3 years experience as an Electromechanic Technician with strong aptitude for computer systems

Skills and Competencies:

· Ability to read and interpret documents including mechanical/electrical drawings and manuals

· Ability to write detailed reports.

· Excellent verbal communication skills; bilingual

· Must possess a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude along with experience related to electro-mechanical systems

· Must be detailed oriented with a strong emphasis on data integrity and customer confidentiality

· General understanding of computers, computing networks, and operating systems

· Experience using a CMM is an Asset

Education:

· Completion of Electro/Mechanical Course from a recognized Technical Institute is preferred

Working Conditions

· Overtime may be required

· Fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Ability to communicate via phone and email

· Safety shoes and smock required on the production floor

Physical Requirements

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Manual dexterity around moving parts

· Awareness of electro-mechanical power

· May be required to work long hours

· Good eyesight and good hand-eye coordination

· Ability to stand, kneel and bend for extended periods
