As a Maintenance Mechanical Planner, you will be responsible for retrieving and collating all relevant information and presenting it in such manner that the maintenance work can be executed expediently and economically as possible.
Minimum Requirements:
- Five years of planning experience in an Oil and Gas Environment
- Alberta Journeyman Certificate in Mechanical Trades, Power Engineering 4th class OR Mechanical Engineering degree
- Maintenance, Production, or technical experience in a refining, petrochemical or similar industry
- Strong computer skills including SAP PM Module, Primavera, Prometheus, Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel and Word)
- High School Diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma)
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Key Accountabilities:
- Planning to facilitate efficient execution of maintenance activities
- Build plans that minimize equipment downtime and maximize safe/efficient/effective use of resources.
- Define scope of work for contract services
- Initiate the interface between maintenance and other business areas to develop an integrated plan
- Identify material needs and initiate procurement. Track status of materials and contract services
- The job will consist of planning both routine and outage tasks, including updating of maintenance plans, BOMs (bill of material), equipment strategies, resource loading and schedule development
- Initiate the review of plan performance for continuous improvement of the planning process
Location & other key details
- You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory
