Maintenance Supervisor – Permanent – Brampton, ON.

About Our Client

Our Brampton client is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor provides support to the overall business but more specifically is a key member of the maintenance team, overseeing and managing the daily maintenance activities of the maintenance staff to ensure to ensure safe, clean, reliable machinery, facilities, and equipment in compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory standards.

What You Will Be Doing, as a Maintenance Supervisor:

Supervises the daily activities of maintenance staff including overall repair and daily servicing of the fleet to ensure they meet service requirements.

Provides technical guidance and/or assistance to support quality assurance of repair work.

Directs the work of all maintenance staff, including the development of work orders and the evaluation of all repairs performed by mechanics, apprentices, electronic technicians and external vendors.

Assists in the sourcing and procurement of repair parts and materials.

Prepares projections as required by local, regional, and corporate management for forecasting purposes.

Identifies, selects, trains, coaches, and manages the performance of department staff.

Communicates clearly each staff member's roles and responsibilities and provides support to help staff accomplish assigned objectives.

Represents Company in grievance procedure.

What You Should Have, as a Maintenance Supervisor:

Minimum of three (3) years' supervisory experience in indutrial environment.

Experience supervising/managing in a non unionized environment.

Be able to pass and maintain a clear Criminal Background Check

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to set clear expectations, coach, develop and motivate staff.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Good working knowledge of applicable legislation

Knowledge of quality control methods and file maintenance procedures

Strong organizational and analytical skills
