Job Description:

Manager, Social Media Strategy

The Growth and Performance Marketing team is looking for a strategic growth marketer to join Sun Life. This person will be a team player, highly capable of juggling shifting priorities and deliverables with a flexible and can-do approach. They will live and breathe social media and their extensive paid and organic knowledge will drive our social media strategy for Sun Life Canada and brands.

• Please note this is a 12 months contract.

Main Accountabilities:

• Leveraging data from multiple sources you will track conversion rates across the funnel, by campaign, by tactic, making optimizations to drive success

• Builds and manages relationships with key partners at all levels to understand business objectives ensuring that content journeys and media strategies align

• Develops measurement goals, data capture requirements, ROI campaign and media performance of owned, earned and shared properties.

• Takes initiative to closely monitor emerging tech trends and capabilities

• Works across multiple internal teams and with our creative and media agencies to create and launch paid marketing campaigns

• Maintains strong networks with industry partners

Functional Skills:

• University degree in business, marketing, or a communications-related field

• Relevant digital and media experience in a brand marketing and/or agency role

• Over 7 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Proven record of success in traditional and non-traditional marketing with measurable results

• Knowledge of paid social media tactics, targeting capabilities and promotional execution.

• Thorough understanding of digital analytics and measurement, especially in Ads Manager

• Experience working with Influencers and Creators across various platforms

• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics, and familiar with Adobe Analytics

• Proven ability to leverage analytics to make strategic and tactical recommendations

• Creative problem-solver who has a meticulous eye for detail.

• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and direct internal teams and outside resources.

• Media and creative agency experience preferred

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
