MAINTAIR AVIATION SERVICES has a long history of providing safe, customer focused aviation services and as we continue to grow, we are currently seeking candidates for CASUAL BAGGAGE/CARGO DRIVER in Timmins!


JOB SUMMARY:

Casual Driver’s work under the direction of the Managers and/or BTW Supervisors to ensure all aspects of baggage delivery are met according to specific company policies & procedures. Safety, attention to detail, following company procedures, and team work are key components to be a successful driver. The ideal candidate must possess verbal & written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding and accepting of change. He/She must also be flexible, be available on call, and able to deal with the adapting nature of aviation and delivery driver requirements.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver customer baggage as needed for all Maintair carrier clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our carrier clients and the receiving individual.
  • Complete vehicle walkaround and inspection before and after each use.
  • Refuel and clean vehicles as needed.
  • Obtain customer signatures and complete expedited delivery forms accurately.
  • Attend all required training sessions and successfully complete training courses.
  • Actively participate in company safety programs.
  • Work as a team member in a safe, efficient, professional manner.
  • Adhere to published uniform standards and requirements.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and safe workplace procedures.
  • Take direction from Managers and BTW Supervisors on delivery requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • Must be over the age of 25 for insurance requirements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
  • Ability to speak, write and understand the English language.
  • Previous freight handling experience would be an asset.
  • Must have excellent team player competencies.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and/or in a team environment working varied and/or split shifts.
  • Must be willing to adapt to the changing nature of aviation.
  • Must be available on call, with short notice.
  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
