OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN (OPTICIAN OR SCIENCE GRADUATE) | Vancouver, BC

  • You have a permanent full-time position (32-40hrs/week). Must be available to work at 7am, evenings and occasional weekends, if necessary.

Your tasks at a glance

  • You complete preoperative and postoperative measurements, offering clear explanations to patients throughout the process.
  • You review imaging maps to validate their accuracy.
  • You are knowledgeable about procedures and technologies available in the clinic.
  • You provide outstanding customer service and patient care.

A clear view of your assets

  • You have excellent communication skills, you speak English
  • You are motivated to learn how to use various diagnostic and testing tools.
  • You have an ease with computer tools.
  • You are graduate from a Bachelor's program in science (Bsc), an Opticianry program (license not required), are a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) or are a foreign trained Optometrist / Ophthalmologist/ Nurse (with experience in an ophthalmic environment).
  • Your experience in an eye-care environment is an asset.
  • Must be open to travelling to other clinics as required.
