Job Description

Stolport Corporation is currently seeking responsible, customer focused, enthusiastic people to join our team in the position of Airport Parking & Ferry Attendant at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is open 365 days a year.

Shifts may include weekdays, weeknights, weekends and holidays with over-time opportunities.

Airport Parking & Ferry Attendants must be able to work from 0500-1430 (5:00am - 2:30pm) and/or 1430-0000 (2:30pm - 12:00am) and spend the majority of their shifts outdoors.

Job Description:

Airport Parking & Ferry Attendants are to greet, assist, and respond to the passengers, guests, aircraft owners and operators of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and provide support across our organization.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Entry-level position.
  • Full training provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills dealing with customers and staff using tact and discretion.
  • Ability to handle direct cash, know basic math, complete paperwork.
  • Possess a valid unrestricted Class G Ontario Driver’s Licence.
  • Basic computer skills are essential (PC/MAC, Word, Excel etc.).
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English. Bilingual in French an asset.
  • Previous airport/parking experience an asset.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Provide parking instruction/guidance/assistance to guests as they arrive/depart.

  • Process monthly and daily payments using a POS device and cash float; submit a balanced shift report daily to the Accounting Department.
  • Maintain parking kiosks, supplies, and a tidy and well-organized workspace.
  • Allow or disallow access into the car park or passenger ferry in coordination with the Operations & Customer Support Specialist and Airport Security.
  • Act upon all comments or complaints in a prompt and friendly manner.
  • Follow all airport safety and security regulations.
  • Communicate and respond to coworkers and Management through telephone and radio.
  • A full uniform is provided and must be worn while on duty.
  • Attendants are to be well groomed and presentable at all times.
  • Maintain parking lots (including winter snow removal operations) & airside ramp, collect litter, report problems, and update the Operations & Customer Support Specialist regularly.

Salary: $16.00 per hour
