This is what you will do:
The Patient Journey Manager holds a critical role within Alexion AstraZeneca Rare Disease. In this role, you will:
- Working with all internal stakeholders to ensure that all patient journey activities are aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
- Collaborating closely with Sales, PSP Coordinators, Marketing and PA Lead to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating with HCP, Health Care Organizations, Regional Scientific Societies, Regional HC organizations and others to identify roadblocks and propose solutions to unlock opportunities that expedite the patient journey and deliver value for patients and the HC community.
- Sharing best practice and connecting internal and external stakeholders to promote best in class initiatives.
- Overseeing the patient journey in its entirety to identify shared purpose among stakeholders and to leverage this to enable optimal solutions for patients.
- Managing and coordinating the aSEAP program in collaboration with the responsible Regional Account Managers, Access, Marketing and others as appropriate.
- Analyzing data from various sources (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to identify areas of improvement in the patient journey.
- Developing and executing plans to address identified areas of improvement in the patient journey.
- Monitoring and evaluating performance metrics related to the patient journey on an ongoing basis.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and recommending solutions for implementation
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends related to the patient journey and providing insights into how these trends can be leveraged by the company.
- Using a broad understanding of present product portfolio and future pipeline to contribute to future-based solutions in collaboration with other internal stakeholders.
- Manage budget appropriately and within constraints.
You will need to have:
- University degree in science-related field. An advanced degree in Life science and a Master is a plus
- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset with commercial experience. Minimum 2 years experience in specialty or rare disease.

- Ability to work both autonomously and cross-functionally
- The ability to travel >60% of the time
- Able to fluently speak and write French and English preferred
We would prefer for you to have:
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including partnering with KOLs and external scientific organizations.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of patient journey(s) and related treatments in rare disease areas, enabling engagement at the specialist level.
- Robust understanding of strategies and tactics employed in the Rare Diseases Area
- Familiar with digital tools
- Experience working with Regional Scientific Societies
- Work out in the field 80% of the time. Field Position.
