Job Description

Our telephone operator is responsible for liaising with both patients and doctors to ensure that we provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities include receiving a high volume of incoming calls, booking appointments, transferring calls to administrative staff and receiving incoming faxes. Some urgent care coverage occasionally on a Saturday or evenings.

  • Excellent communication and superior interpersonal skills, with an ability to relate to staff members, and health professionals from a diverse range of organizations.
  • The ability to work at a high level in group situations.
  • Ability to display empathy.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • The ability to multitask and stay on task.
  • Computer skills and knowledge.
  • Handling incoming faxes
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience with Telus PS Suites an asset.
  • Knowledge of the medical industry highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.55-$17.00 per hour
