Responsibilities:
Location
1 Commerce Valley Dr E, Thornhill, ON L3T 7X6
We are hiring for multiple co-op/intern positions that vary between on-site and hybrid – students will be required to work at the Markham office on a schedule based on the needs of the hiring team. COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed.
Program Term
- This role is a 4-month position
- September 11, 2023 to December 22, 2023
- Must be returning to school following the internship
The Role
Support graphics product management, product marketing, sales and PR by testing, analyzing and documenting 3D performance and other key features of graphics products.
What you’ll be doing
- Measure and report on the performance of Radeon graphics product line using industry standard benchmarks and 3D games
- Measure, analyze and track the performance changes that arise in each new Radeon display driver
- Monitor and report on trends in review techniques
- Write scripts and related tools to build command lines and configuration files that automate performance testing
- Prepare images of current Windows operating systems to be deployed across numerous test machines
Requirements
General Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field/discipline
- Proven interpersonal skills, technical excellence and teamwork
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Must be participating in a registered co-op program
Technical Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of computer graphics and video technology
- Experience with PC assembly and hardware upgrades, hardware and software troubleshooting
- Experience installing and configuring Microsoft operating systems and applications
- Familiarity with semiconductor and PC industry standards
- Experience with C++, Python, XML, HTML, Excel, databases would be an asset.
