Our manufacturing facility is gearing up for growth, and we are looking for energetic and motivated
Production Assembly & Kitting Workers to join our team.
As a key member of our manufacturing production team, you will play a crucial role in helping us to ramp up production and meet our growing demand. Your duties will include assembling various components or parts using tools and equipment to create a finished product according to specific instructions and performing quality checks to ensure the final product meets the required quality standards. As well you will perform kitting duties, including the preparation and packaging of various components into kits or sets for later use in the production process. You may also package and label finished products and perform inventory and stock control.

This position reports to the Production Engineer and works collaboratively with multiple individuals within our multi-disciplinary team.

Location: On-site full-time in Delta, BC Manufacturing Facility
Work Hours: Day Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Wage: $22 - $25 per hour

Nice to Haves, but can be certified on the job:
- Class I forklift license
- Level 1 or 2 Occupational First Aid certification
- WHIMS
- 3+ years of experience as an Assembly worker in a manufacturing environment
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability to use hand & power tools and assembly machinery.
- Understanding of machine operation safety.
- Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques.
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Willingness to practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions.
- Able to follow instructions and complete work tasks on schedule with clear timelines.
- Experience in labeling, packaging, and proficiency in quality control checks.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully both internally and externally.
Nice to Haves, but could be learned on the job:
- Kitting experience is an asset.
- Must provide your own CSA approved 6” safety footwear, required.
- Proof of ability to remain and work in Canada.
- Successful candidates may be required to submit to a background check
- Review production schedules and determine materials and supplies needed for each job.
- Collecting all material and equipment needed to begin the process Assemble components according to blueprints, diagrams, and assembly procedures.
- Use hand and power tools, jigs, and saws to cut, drill and shape components as necessary.
- Ensure that all components are assembled correctly and meet quality standards.
- Package and label finished products for distribution.
- Assemble materials and supplies according to job requirements.
- Perform visual inspections of components and finished products to identify defects, deviations, or other quality issues and report these issues to the Production Engineer.
- Track and report any shortages or discrepancies in inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of materials and supplies.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by accurately counting, labeling, and storing components and finished products in designated locations.
- Ensure that all items are included in each kit and that they are assembled accurately and on time.
- May train and provide guidance to other assemblers as needed.
Shipping & Receiving
- Preparing orders for shipment, including picking and packing products, printing shipping labels, and arranging for carriers to pick up the orders.
- Verifying the accuracy of orders and ensuring they are packed securely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Receiving incoming shipments from carriers and checking them against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Unpacking and inspecting received goods for damage, defects, and other issues.
- Routing received goods to appropriate storage locations within the facility.
General Production:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
- Communicate with other members of the manufacturing team to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve quality, and reduce waste.
- Comply with all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with our administrative policies and procedures as set forth from time to time.
- Contribute to team efforts.
- Complete other duties as we may request which are consistent with your abilities and responsibilities.
- Lifting and carrying heavy objects, sometimes up to 50 pounds
- Standing for long periods of time, 8 hours or more
- Standing or walking for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to Operate Machinery, assemble components and use hand and power tools
- Repetitive motions such as; bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching, including above and below the shoulder, pushing, pulling and twisting,
- Ability to work near moving equipment in a production environment.
- Exposed to machine noise, dust, chemicals and/or fumes.
- When on the production floor or construction site, wear protective equipment, such as a hard hat, hearing protection, safety work boots, and safety glasses.
