We are looking to grow our Quality Assurance Team! We are looking for a Quality Analyst with a focus on Chemistry to join our Quality Team in the beautiful city of Belleville, Ontario!

Who you are
We know if you are in quality that you are passionate about detail, are curious in nature, and overall quality of consumer goods is your first priority. In addition to this you should hold a B.Sc. or equivalent in Food science/Chemistry or a related discipline. You should have 1 – 3 years laboratory experience in food manufacturing or cannabis industry required. Preference given to candidates who have prior beverage processing or food plant laboratory analyses, chemistry methods with a strong understanding of HPLC. Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills (verbal and written with a curiosity and passion to learn). Great organization practices, excellent time management ability, and high attention to detail. You are agile and able to pivot, changing work direction as necessary to support the team. This role is performance driven with a high focus on the end product and consumer satisfaction.
You will be able to work Monday through Friday, with the potential to work days and evenings when necessary.
The Role
The QA Analyst provides timely and proficient laboratory and technical shift support in order to sustain production of beverages according to schedule and in compliance with product quality, food safety and regulatory requirements. Promote quality awareness and commitment across the plant.
Promote Safety culture through participation in safety programs and initiatives.
Conduct physical / chemical laboratory analyses of work in progress product, packaged goods, and R&D samples according to established methods and sampling plans.
Responsible for HPLC analysis, results reporting in a timely manner. Participate in CCP verifications.
Accountable to ensure accuracy of results, timely response, and communication with operations, as well as maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Responsible for results data entry, data analysis for deviations and trends.
Report / conduct inventory transactions as required for laboratory samples retained or consumed for testing in SAP. Verification / calibration / maintenance of various laboratory instruments.
Preparation and/or review of Quality Data Sheets and label approvals.
Establish and deliver goals that align/achieve business objectives.
Review in-process quality data records and associated documents in processing and packaging to ensure completeness and accuracy. Communicate with and coach operations technicians to address any gaps.
Participate in good production practices (GPP's) inspections.
Troubleshoot quality related problems as required using appropriate investigative tools with a view to identify preventive measures.
Manage, and update in-scope procedures, instructions, and tools to ensure compliance.
Perform Lab inventory and QA month end inventory counts.
Lead & train assigned programs for quality management systems.
KPI reporting on assigned indicators.
Perform assigned duties for Management of Change initiatives.
Cross train on other Quality roles for back fill as assigned.
Support trouble shooting (RCA) and CAPA follow-up of non-conformities and/or deviations.
Partner cross functionally with the Planning, Production, and Warehouse teams to maximize results & promote positive working relationships.
