Design Build Services of Victoria is seeking a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW


The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (RAA) works within the Design Build Services Administrative team, reporting to and providing administrative support to different teams of the organization including the Finance, Drafting, Site Operations, and Project Management teams. The RAA is responsible for providing accurate and timely execution of a variety of office coordination and administration duties resulting in smooth and efficient operation of the company.


This position requires an individual who prides themselves on providing quality customer service while managing competing demands. Qualified candidates will have a combination of 1 year of related experience or education (eg. Clerical, secretarial, receptionist, or administrative support).


Remuneration commensurate with experience and education.


DUTIES INCLUDE


  • Performing general office management and administrative support
  • Answering incoming phone calls
  • Manage and maintain physical and electronic files
  • Data entry as required
  • Photocopying, filing, organizing, and scanning
  • Supporting marketing and social media activities
  • Completing out of office errands
  • Completing other related duties


QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES


  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • Grade 12 graduation; post-secondary education
  • A combination of 1 year of related work experience or education (eg. Clerical, secretarial, receptionist, or administrative support).
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work as team lead or team member
  • Experience working with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in word processing and other computer applications, such as spreadsheets, data bases, and internet applications
  • Proficiency in learning new software platforms (such as project management software Procore)
  • A collaborative and flexible problem solver
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to type 50+ wpm
