REGISTERED DIETITIAN (Subcontractor position)

Summary:

  • Consulting Dietitian in Ontario with minimum availability of 15 hours/week.
  • We are currently accepting applications for Registered Dietitians experienced in weight management and digestive health. Additionally, we are looking for dietitians with a good understanding of South Asian cuisine and culture. Punjabi or Hindi language skills are also an asset.
  • This is a remote online counselling position for a motivated subcontractor with an opportunity to grow into a permanent employee role with paid vacation and health benefits.

Key Qualifications

  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, including proof of payment
  • Proven ability to apply evidence-based nutrition knowledge to actionable nutritional assessments, plans and coaching
  • Self-motivated and independent to work without direct supervision
  • Collaborative and coachable in working with interdisciplinary teams in the delivery of client consultations and meeting client needs
  • Knowledgeable and adaptable to work with diverse clients from varying backgrounds and cultures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
  • Concise and clear communication style with an internal and external customer service attitude
  • Superior professional ethics and integrity
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experienced in being organized and in prioritizing work to help ensure meeting client and administrative obligations
  • Sales or business experience is considered a potential asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition counselling and education to clients based on individual needs and objectives
  • Manage and execute client-facing nutrition care processes, including assessment, intervention, monitoring and evaluation for your clients within the scope of your practice
  • Actively drive client motivation to reach health and nutrition goals
  • Manage and comply with administrative duties as required by the company, as well as professional and legislative requirements
  • Other consulting work and duties as assigned
  • Meet performance goals by establishing, maintaining and growing a client base with the support of your NutriProCan team

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from a recognized university required
  • Masters in Nutrition Science preferred
  • Full registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario AND successful completion of the CDRE exam
  • Valid liability insurance
  • Proof of current, positive criminal and vulnerable sector background checks
  • Successful completion of dietetic internship program accredited by Dietitians of Canada
  • Proficiency in English
  • Understanding of and adherence to PHIPA and AODA legislations

  • Availability to work a mix of evening and daytime hours as well as Saturdays.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

Salary: $38.00-$60.00 per hour
