As members of the Nursing team, Registered Nurses (RN's) are responsible and accountable for the safe quality care of clients. RN's assess, coordinate, and participate in total Nursing care for patients; supervise in accordance with CRNA Nursing practice standards and provide leadership, direction, and encouragement to staff. Primary area of responsibility will be Continuing Care. Two Hills Long Term Care is a 56 bed unit within the Health Care facility. Situated 135km east of Edmonton, Two Hills is an urban centre serving an agricultural region. The town has a population of 1,379 while the county has approximately 4,500 people. Residents have easy access to the downtown and commercial areas, as well as several parks and playgrounds. The town has a grocery store, several restaurants, gas stations, two banks, various businesses, churches, two schools with Kindergarten to grade 12, an arena and curling rink, and a golf course. Within a half-hour drive are three beautiful lakes ideal for camping and fishing.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:Minimum one (1) year Continuing Care nursing experience is preferred. Experience with Meditech, and general computer skills are preferred. CTAS and ACLS are preferred.
