Position Overview:
The HR Reporting Analyst will support the HR group through the collection, analysis, and auditing of data in the HRIS for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting metrics and other ad hoc reporting as required by the business. This role will also work as part of the HR Coordination team on identifying, making recommendations, and testing possible solutions to streamline and automate current HR processes in Workday.
Job Description:
Reporting and HR Data
  • Aid in the execution of short and long-term reporting vision and strategy that is aligned with leadership priorities, delivering solutions that apply across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Build and analyze results of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc metric reporting for senior management and the Human Resources team.
  • Provide reporting expertise and support to the HR team in service to the businesses regarding the development of HR metrics that drive future forecasting capabilities and strategic insights (i.e. absenteeism, headcount, recruitment statistics)
  • Take the lead in new reporting requests through discovery meetings to understand the reporting needs behind the request, understanding the reporting capabilities and various data sources in being able to deliver on the request, maintain data security with regards to employee’s privacy and the role of the requestee in reviewing either a summary or the detailed information populating the report
  • Work with the HR Coordinators and Advisors to ensure data integrity, using HR databases, review information gathering processes, verify integrity of data and customize data extracts to meet information needs.
  • Help execute internal and external HR related audits monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Partner with the HCM and analytics teams for development and rollout of automated reporting solutions, including the build of technical requirements, design, testing and other technical requirements as needed.
Accountability:
  • Internal reporting on an annual/quarterly/monthly basis to key stakeholders, supporting global and regional agendas.
  • Responding to internal and external ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Providing accurate data for key business reports including legislative requirements, corporate reports.
  • Understanding company and regional privacy policy and legislation when responding to HR data and reporting requests
Qualifications for the role:
  • Degree in Business, HR, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources in a generalist/analytics role
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, Workday would be an asset
  • Ability to work autonomously, while remaining aligned with HR strategies.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and comfortable navigating in HRIS. Experience with Workday is an asset and preferred.
  • 3-5 years of specific experience in writing and presenting clear and actionable data summary reports.
  • Extracting data from people software platforms, data analysis, reporting and data visualization skills: ability to generate and align people data with business data to generate insights, identify trends and patterns of behavior.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collaborative, responsive and service-oriented approach and proven ability to immediately establish credibility and able to influence change. Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency.
