Overview

Scarlett Garden’s (formly known as Tumino’s Garden Centre) was founded in 1967 and takes pride in bringing local products and services to our wonderful customers. As a family owned business, our garden centre is located on a small property but holds a variety of plants, cut flowers, and garden essentials.

The Garden Centre Sales Associate will work directly with the owner, manager, and team to complete the assigned work. They will have experience in customer service as well as general labour. As the Christmas season is approaching, we are looking for dedicated individuals to help sell Christmas trees, products, and more!

Tasks

• Selling nursery and gardening products to customers (utmost priority!)
• Maintain plants (Including watering and cleaning)
• Maintain stock, including unloading and shelving new/existing products
• Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles
• Greet and assist customers as they enter the store and ensure their needs are looked after
• Maintain health and safety at work, including the identification of unsafe work procedures

Experience

• 2 years of experience in retail
• Knowledge of plants and garden supplies an asset
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs +

Work Conditions

Work hours: Varies with seasonal business, 4-8HR Shift

Environment conditions: Working in various temperatures indoors and outdoors. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time with occasional repetitive lifting.

Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
