Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Mobile Patrol Security Guards in Edmonton for Part Time and Casual positions.

  • Pay Rate - $18. 50/hr.

  • Class 5 Advanced License

Job Description:

  • Ensure that any or all emergency situations that may occur at the workplace and client facilities are responded to by following safety and emergency procedures within the scope of Allied guidelines.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to supervise Teams Reporting.
  • Attend alarm dispatches in a timely manner, as required by the client.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, up to date reports and follow post orders as assigned.
  • Other security-related duties as assigned from time to time by management.
  • Physical requirements and environment vary between, commercial facilities, retail stores, construction sites, distribution centers requiring interior and exterior patrols, parking facilities checks, etc.
  • Demonstrate an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up to date, patrol notes, incident reports and information management system entries as required.
  • Maintain the clientas property and facilities in accordance with local trespass legislation, property acts and/or other laws affecting a clientas property.
  • Ability to demonstrate good decision making during emergencies and incidents.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Be at least 19 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
    • Legally entitled to work in Canada
    • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
    • Licensing requirements are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employment.

    • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
    • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
    • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
    • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
    • Able to:
      • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
      • Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms
      • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
      • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
